There's a few reasons why people choose not to buy an offer that they're genuinely interested in. For example, price is obviously an issue, as well as weak sales copy.
But without question, the number #1 reason why people don't buy something that they want is because they're skeptical. They don't believe that the offer is "for real"...
This is especially the case when marketing to people who've been using the Internet for some time. They get bombarded with hype & outrageous promises all day long. (No wonder they're skeptical). And the only way most of them will even consider an offer is if it's been recommended by someone they trust.
And that's the strategy - build trust with your visitors, and then make recommendations and suggestions that will actually help them achieve their goals and change their life.
Not only is this the ethical thing to do - your profits will be phenomonal, because you'll be tearing down the biggest barrier to action - skepticism.
Here's some specific suggestions on how to do that...
People want to know the truth. They want sincere, honest & unbiased opinions of something from someone who's "been there, done that". And since there's on overall lack of that these days, they will literally cling to sincerity and honesty.
That's why one of the most powerful methods of selling is by actually obtaining a copy of the product, and then publishing a sincere, no-holds-barred review on your website, and/or in your e-zine. (No, I'm not just saying this to try and get "another sale" - review copies are available for affiliates who control substantial traffic assets - contact us with details of your site and traffic volumes.)
Be thorough, be specific about whether or not the product delivers, and describe the emotions you felt when you read the book itself.
You'll be surprised at how effective this really is...
Our product is truly different in that not only does it genuinely over-deliver - the sales letter alone (including the 6-Minute Tutorial) provides more information (valuable information) than most related ebooks - even ones with higher price tags!
There's also ZERO hype - on purpose.
And so a very effective strategy is to simply tell your visitors that - regardless if they purchase a thing - they'll sincerely enjoy our in-depth, advanced life strategies that are clearly spelled out in detail in the 6-Minute Tutorial, which is of course part of the sales page.
It will be a refreshing break for them - and because they'll be reading it out of interest and not out of skepticism, you'll find that your sales results will be far more impressive than compared to the typical "hard-sell" approach.
Here's a few conversion tips that have never failed to produce more sales for me per visitor. They'll likely work for you as well...
1. Position the offer front-and-center. Don't hide your affiliate links at the bottom of an article - briefly mention it at the TOP as well, so that the visitor sees an offer at the top of the page, when the page initially loads (aka. "above the fold")
2. Place your link in the first paragraph of your newsletter mailings. Many of your subscribers don't have time to read your emails completely. They might be distracted by something before they even have a chance to scroll down. You could say something like "If you're in a rush, check out how one group is turning conventional wisdom on its head at http://www.YOURAFFLINK.com..."
3. Keep it Simple, Keep it Short. Let us do the selling - focus on getting the "click", and the sales will take care of themselves :-)

For a few reasons.
Mostly, because we really want to over-deliver with this one. We want to blow people's minds, and more than anything we want to make the reality of fulfilled living accessible to people who can't afford the $997 "home study" courses.
2. Won't I Make More Money If I Promote Higher-Ticket Products?
On the individual sale, yes.
But not necessarily in the long-run (or even short term). Folks, the only thing that matters in this industry is your visitor value.
True, you can make $50 commissions by promoting $100 products that payout 50% - but how many visitors does it take to generate that sale? And how many of those sales will be refunded?
That's the way you need to look at it.
